Pickup Policies

At Optimus, we enforce a pickup time schedule throughout the school year. A pickup schedule helps create a more beneficial learning environment for our students. In order to help students concentrate on their work during class time, we ask parents to pick up their students during the scheduled break times to keep a distraction-free learning environment. During class time, we keep the doors locked to avoid interruptions.

However, we understand that there may be days when a student may have to leave in between the pickup times.

For students who have other weekly scheduled activities like sports, music, or doctor’s appointments, we will be implementing two additional pickup times at 4:30 and 5:30 pm and no other pickup times will be available (e.g. 4:15 pm or 4:45 pm).

If your student has to leave early for another scheduled activity or doctor’s appointment and you know you will not be able to make our pickup times, please call or email Optimus by 10 am of the date of your student’s early pickup, so you may utilize these additional times at 4:30 and 5:30 pm. Students will be able to pack up early and wait in the lobby for their scheduled pickup at 4:30 or 5:30 pm.

If you have to pick up your students consistently at 4:30 or 5:30 pm, please email us which days and time your students will get picked up, so they can pack up early and wait in the lobby.

For parents who arrive shortly before the scheduled pickup time, we kindly ask you to wait until the scheduled pickup time rather than calling for your students to be released. We sincerely ask for parents' cooperation to help us maintain a productive learning environment for all of our students by limiting classroom interruptions.

Please be sure to pick up your students before 6 pm to prevent incurring charges for late pickups. If you arrive between 6:00-6:05 pm, a $5 charge will apply, and it will be included in the next month's invoice. Similarly, if you come between 6:06-6:10 pm, there will be a $10 charge, and it will also be invoiced in the next month's statement. Please note that the charge increases by $5 for every additional 5 minutes of lateness.
